GOSPEL REFLECTIONS

Our reflections are released weekly and follow the Christian Liturgical Year. Information about the Christian Liturgical Year can be found below. The Gospel Reflections are just below that information.

CHRISTIAN LITURGICAL YEAR

  • “Prepare the Way: Reflections for Advent”

Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year. It’s a season of hope, anticipation, and preparation for the coming of Christ. Each week of Advent invites us to reflect on the ways Christ comes into our lives: in history, in mystery, and in majesty.

  • “Joy to the World: Reflections for the Christmas Season”

The Christmas season celebrates the birth of Christ and the joy of His presence among us. It is a time of light, love, and revelation as Jesus is revealed to the world through key moments like His birth, the visit of the Magi, and His baptism.

  • “Daily Growth in Faith: Ordinary Time Reflections”

Ordinary Time after Christmas offers a chance to focus on spiritual growth and daily discipleship. This season reminds us that growth in faith often happens in small, steady steps as we live out the Gospel.

  • “A Time for Renewal: Reflections for Lent”

Lent is a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It invites us to draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.

  • “The Sacred Triduum: Passion and Death and Resurrection”

The Triduum marks the three most sacred days of the liturgical year—Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. It reflects on the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus, the cornerstone of our faith.

  • “He is Risen: Reflections for the Easter Season”

Easter is the season of joy and hope, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and the new life He brings. It invites us to live as people of the Resurrection, sharing the good news of salvation.

  • “Come, Holy Spirit: Pentecost Reflections”

Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. It reminds us of the Spirit’s power and presence, equipping us to live as bold witnesses for Christ.

  • “Living the Gospel: Ordinary Time Reflections”

The second part of Ordinary Time encourages us to grow in faith and live out the Gospel in our daily lives. It’s a time of spiritual maturing and deepening our relationship with Christ.

When a major feast falls on a Sunday, it will take the place of the usual Sunday liturgy.  On those days, the liturgical color is white.
